A raster graphic is an array of pixels of various colours that form an image. These files are commonly created by digital cameras and photograph scanners. Common raster graphic file formats are: .jpg; .tif; .psd; .gif
A vector graphic is essentially a mathematical formula for creating lines and shapes on a computer. Most company logos are a vector file, and can be scaled to any size without loss of quality. Common vector graphic file formats are: .ai; .eps; .pdf. This is in contrast to a raster graphic.
Standard bleed area is 1/8 (.125) inches (approx. 3mm).
RGB is an acronym that stands for: Red, Green, Blue. These three colours are used in an additive light process for projecting colour on a screen.
CMYK is an acronym that stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black). These four colors are used in printing in a subtractive process to create all colors for printing.
A file is considered print ready when received in .pdf format, in CMYK colours, with crop marks. Common mistakes are: file is not a .pdf; file is designed with RGB or SPOT colours; or the file lacks proper bleed (area for images that extend to the edge of a page).

An SSL certificate is a digital certification to show that the connection between a users browser and the database the website is hosted on is secure. It provides security for data input, particularly for payment details.
Consumers are becoming savvier about their online security and so many look out for the “HTTPS” in the browser as shown in the example below.
This helps to keep details safe and provide peace of mind to the user, so is recommended for most if not all websites to adopt.
An SSL certificate is reasonably simple to setup at a low cost. For more information on becoming SSL certified, get in touch with our team on our contact us page.
